Welcome to the 2026 Creative Climate Awards (CCA)—an annual celebration of the power of art to mobilize communities and ignite bold climate action. This year, our theme, Collective Power, calls on artists everywhere to explore how unity, solidarity, and shared vision fuel transformative change.
Prompt: In what ways does your work illuminate “Collective Power” and show how community, solidarity, or shared action play a role in addressing climate change?
WHAT WE ACCEPT:
We welcome submissions of all 2D works, films (shorts and features), 3D works (sculptures and installations), as well as performances (dance, theater, music, etc.). Only completed pieces will be considered. Please do not submit concept notes or requests for commissions.
We strongly encourage artists from underrepresented communities and those most impacted by climate change to apply.
WHAT ARE CREATIVE CLIMATE AWARDS?
The Human Impacts Institute’s Creative Climate Awards (CCA) is an annual series of events showcasing artists who address climate change through their creative works. This year’s theme, Collective Power, invites artists to use their creativity to spark collective action and help shift the climate narrative toward justice, solidarity, and real-world impact. The CCAs are a month-long festival of public exhibits, virtual conversations, screenings, artist talks, and a citywide art installation in New York City.
Please Note:
Submissions must be final works. We do not accept concept notes or commission requests.
Artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from NYC.
Performers must be available to perform in NYC between April 16th and May 14th, 2026.
