Study for ‘She’

This piece was created using leaves, twigs, pine needles and due to this and thick impasto is quite sculptural in form reacting to natural or artificial lighting altering its colour and casting small shadows.

Figure at a table 

This was painted with the idea that the panels when displayed have adequate spacing between them so that when lit or during natural light throughout the day, shadows are cast on the wall, floor and ceiling creating an immersive display which always changes throughout the year.

Part of a group of paintings made with discarded Christmas trees off woodland in snow.

  
Due to their depth, in natural light throughout the day, shadows are cast and at sunsets the painting changes colour , deep orange, depending upon the intensity of the sun.

  
In a gallery setting this has been lit with strong directional lighting casting shadows on walls, the following and ceiling.
