Now that we are at physical distance, we seek connections elsewhere.
most are online but those are with the people we know and love. Nonetheless there is an instinctual yearning for the unknown faces that usually walk the streets. Now that the outside world is void of people we find closeness in messages left by strangers for other passing strangers.

The works ‘under the guise of a great principle’ were supposed to be presented for the Penny Thoughts exhibition, thay are a series of ink on paper drawings from early 2020. 
The series of drawings play with the archetype of perfection through the circular corral by morphing it into abjection. With the series I suggest there to be hidden ambivalence behind unquestioned beliefs, a values or an assumptions. An internal and individual morphing of a conventional ideal that may or may not be adverse.
