As commonly known, the human being, when moving around we are constructing the world in three dimensions. Our ability to watch a three-dimensional image on a film screen, a television screen or a computer screen, i.e. on a two-dimensional surface, is due to the fact that each eye  receives its own slightly modified signal. Basically, it is the same way we are able to percept. Because our eyes are placed with a little distance from each other and the brain gets two different perceptions with slightly different views it is possible for us to simulate depth by varying the difference between the signals to our two eyes.
Today the film screen, the television screen and the computer screen are so inseparable parts of our society and everyday life and many of us don't think about our way to perceive, the fact that it is an optical illusion and not reality.
In the performance “in 3D – Red/blue” the above mentioned issues are questioned in a playful and slightly ironical way.
Traditionally the 3D glasses are used to create depth in images i.e. two-dimensional plane. The illusion of depth in the anaglyphen system is created when a scene consisting of both red and blue, is viewed through red and blue (cyan) glasses.
 But what happens when the two-dimensional world is replaced by a three-dimensional reality? What happens when the audience is given a pair of 3D glasses and through the two-colored glass look at a physical space full of red and blue balloons? 
Will the viewing experience/perception become flat? What does the negation of the negation?
Those are the questions that “ in 3D – Red/blue” will examine in close relation to a participating audience.

The audience are let in the room, 5 at a time, wearing 3D anaglyphen glasses.

A ”Bench object”, artificial grass
Audience is invited to sit on the “grass” for a while to reflect and relax
1 hour every week a naked woman will take place in the object and project her breasts through two holes in the bottom of the bench – making them visible for the one sitting underneath.
It is not possible to see anything else of the woman.
The object is a reinterpretation and a 3 dimentional interactive remake of the famous painting of Manet: Le Déjeuner sur l’herbe.

Talk about love

Neutral Ground were first shown in Copenhagen in 2004.

The installation is build like a Messegelände including 2 videoscreens and access to to the webpage www.prweile.dk/ng, which includes a forum for debate.
Two arcitects are invited to make a proposition of the cast of the Neutral Ground. It is the intention to invite two german arcitects to do the same here in Berlin. All arcitectual contributions are a part of the installation.

As a part of the installation – 4 politicians were invited to discuss the issues of Neutral Ground – representing the major the parties and the grassrootorganisations. In Copenhagen it was broadcasted on national TV.

The idea of Neutral Ground had its offspring out of frustration over the ongoing battles between grassroot movements and the policeforces in the major cities of Europe around the topmeetings of EU.

The battles have major impact on the daily life of the citizens in the major cities of Europe. Added to that the cities have big problems of finding places for the demostrators to stay.

Furthermore has the battlefield  - on behalf of the tecnological revolution – moved from the streets of the major cities, to the medias, especially the TV-screen.
Neutral Ground is a proposition to deal with these problems.

Neutral Ground will try to secure the rights for the people to exchange wievs in a democratic manner, to update the security to the standards of today.

It is the intension to show the installation in all major cities in Europe.

Virtual Truck-Race (Light) was made for the Harbour in Odense Denmark in 2006.
You can control the small Trucks via the screen. Acamera is mounted on the Trucks. 
Like a videogame.
It was a part of a mega installation - the "Teddys" were a part too.

Virtual Truck-Race (Light)

Watersculptures are discussing the fragility of the decissions we make - in evrydaylife as in politics.
Untill now I have been doing watersculptures at Cecilienhof in Potsdam (Potsdammerkonferenz)
In front of Tacheles in Berlin (closing of creative Center)
and at the Church in Wittenberg (Reformation)

About Collected Body
Collected Body is made with a hand scanner, and it builds a bridge between photography and drawing.
Poul R. Weiles work with the hand scanner brings the Cubism into the Photography. It is a totally new way 
of Interpretation.
Poul R. Weile is drawing with the Photography.
This performance was first made in Berlin, as a part of the international  ”Escape"-performance festival, in 
May 2012 - the month of performance art in Berlin.
This video shows the performance made in the Funen Museum of ART in Odense, Denmark in September 
2012 - as a part of the artists solo show: The ART of Flying/Dying (Slowly).
Through the Western History of Art, one of the main discussions has been, how to produce three 
dimensions on the two dimensional surface.  
When the Photography was invented, it set the painting free from the Naturalistic gengivelse and 
documentation,  painting artists started to work with other thematic issues, and freed themselves from the
constraints of  Perspective.
Still the three Dimensions was a challenge, but free from the perspective, the artists started to find new 
ways e.g. the Cubism.
Some Artists started to take up the new media, the Photographic Camera, and tried to work 3-Dimensional 
by merging more takes of the same scene from different angles. (Man Ray)
At the Artacedemy I was educated as a sculpturer, early I started to work with different materials, and as I,
before the studium, worked with photo and video – I started to bring photo, video and objects together  -
i.e. building installations.
When the PC was brought into the homes in the mid-90es, I started to bring it into my work. The hand 
scanner was the first scanner for the PC. I used it for scanning photos, to bring them in the workfield of the 
PC. Very soon I realized that I could use it for other purposes too. It was possible to scan almost everything 
just it was in reach of the electrical net. Then I made my first Bodyscan (in the collection of the national 
Museum of PhotoArt of Denmark) – and later “Navelscan” – then bringing the scanner into my 
performances. Unfortunately the hand scanner went out of the market – and they were no longer 
supported by the new computer systems.
Recently I found out that the hand scanner was  reinvented, and now I am able to continue my work with 
the “Cubistic” Photography. I am very happy to take up my research again, now, almost 20 years later.

Mark II - Performancefestival

The Collage project

I am a Danish male – 59 years old.
Married 4 times – with kids in three of the marriages.
I was young when the first womens lib movement started in Denmark in the end of the sixties.
Moved in with my first woman when I was 17 years old.
I lived together with my second wife during the 2. womens lib movement in the beginning of the 80'es, and my second child was born.
When the third WLM started I was bringing two Kids up with my fourth wife.
In 2010 I started doing collages – trying to define my relation to women..
I am still working on this project....

Looking at women

The ART of Flying/Dying (Slowly) is an installation in the Artmuseum in Funen, Denmark.
The show discusses the thin line we walk upon between life and death.
It consists of 6 works:
