Bases of the III International Mini Print Cantabria: The Sea and the Lighthouses.
SM Pro Art Circle and the Port Authority of Santander call to the III Mini Print International Cantabria, The Sea and the Lighthouses.
The Award is open to all printmaking disciplines, admitting digital printed artwork and monotype as well.
The general theme is The Sea and the Lighthouses, but this does not imply that the artwork must be figurative. All kinds of aesthetic languages are admitted.
The image and the paper must not exceed 20 x 20 cm. (7,8” x 7,8”)
There is no minimum image or paper size.
Artwork/s must be without mat, frame or glass.
You can submit up to 3 artworks
The jury of selection and awarding of the artworks will be formed by a representative of Culture of the Port Authority, a representative of SM Pro Art and, at least, one guest artist.
The decision of the jury will be unappealable and notified to the artists by email and published on the website: www.MiniPrintCantabria.es
The jury will meet and assess all the works received physically and will select, in the first instance, the works participating in the exhibition.
In a next step they will choose, among all those selected artworks, the three main awards (1st, 2nd, 3rd).
Once this choice has been made, a special prize for the artwork of an artist from the Community of Cantabria will be chosen from among the participants who meet the requirement of being born or being residents of Cantabria. This award aims to support the practice of graphic arts among artists from Cantabria.
Finally will be selected the three special mentions.
The following prizes will be awarded:
1st Prize: € 4000.-
2nd Prize: € 1500.-
3rd Prize: € 500.-
Mar Cantábrico Special Award: € 500.- This prize will be awarded to a work by an artist from Cantabria.
The artist born and / or current resident in the territory of Cantabria will be recognized as such.
The awarded artworks will become part of the Heritage of the Faro Cabo Mayor Art Center.
The prizes will be transferred to the artists to a bank account that they indicate in a timely manner.
The jury will also grant three Special Mentions.

The participation fee is:
• Residents in Spain:
€ 55.- Return, by certified mail, included or,
€ 35.- No Return (donation or destruction)
• Non-residents in Spain:
€ 65.- Return, by certified mail, included or,
€ 45.- No Return (donation or destruction)
Delegates of ENCUENTRO IMPACT 10, Santander 2018 will be able to participate for free with up to three artworks. If they want the return of the artworks, they must pay for it at the online store (€ 20 .-)
Exhibition of the artworks:
The exhibition of selected artworks will be held in the rooms of the Faro Cabo Mayor Art Center in Santander, Cantabria, Spain from August 14 to December 31, 2020.
A digital catalogue will be published with the selected and awarded artworks, which will be sent by email to the participating artists. The data and images will be taken from the registration form.
Return of the artworks:
Artworks of artists who have selected the "I WISH THE RETURN OF THE ARTWORKS" box and who have paid the participation fee without the deduction or who, having been Delegate to Impact 10 have requested its return and paid the corresponding fee, will be returned by Certified Mail (Correos de España).
The shipment will be made after 30 days of the closing date of the exhibition.
The shipping included in the Participation Fee will be made only once.
The artworks that are returned to us because their delivery at the destination has not been possible will not be sent again unless the cost of the new shipment was paid.
In case we´ll receive the package "returned to the sender", we will notify the participants so they can decide on the destination of their artwork/s.
Artworks that do not respect the conditions previously described in: "About Artworks", will not be able to participate and will not be returned.
Remember that when filling out your participation form you have the possibility of not requiring the return of the artworks, paying a participation fee with the amount of shipping deducted. In this case you must expressly indicate, in the registration form, your will for the treatment to be given to the non-returned artworks.

In order to qualify for the "Mar Cantábrico Special Award" reserved for artists born and / or currently residing in the autonomous community of Cantabria, you must incorporate a copy of your DNI, NIE or document to prove it in the space reserved for that purpose in the same form.
Only those entries in which the requested means of proof have been sent correctly will be considered valid to qualify for the prize.
Registration form and digital photos will be exclusively for identification of the artworks, registration, realization of digital catalogue and to complete the data for the donation or return of the artworks.
The Jury will evaluate for Selection and Awards only the artworks that have been received by certified mail and that meet all the requirements.
When filling in the form, please use Spanish or English especially when indicating the postal data for the return of the artworks.
In the registration form you must put your name, as it must be stated on the shipping label that we will give you of the returned artworks and as it appears on your identity document and in your bank account to which the prize transfer will be made in the eventual case of being one of the (four) winners of the contest.

Put your correct and complete address because it will be the address to which the artworks will be sent in return. For this same reason it is important that you inform us of any change of address that may happen between your submission of the participating artworks and the return of the artworks.

Once the registration form has been sent, you must pay the participation fee at the online store: www.smproartshop.com
You can use Paypal or credit card (Visa or Mastercard).You can also do it through a bank transfer, in this case remember that the costs of international transfers that your bank or the correspondent bank charge, must be at your expense.
If you want to make the payment by bank transfer, send us an email to email@example.com requesting the data of our bank to make the payment.
Remember that by paying a participation fee, you can send up to 3 artworks.
Send the artworks by certified mail.
You must send by certified mail the same artworks you have included in the registration form, without waiting for any notification.
The jury will deliberate at the Faro Cabo Mayor Art Center on all artworks received by certified mail. Artworks must be signed on the front or on the back and sent by certified mail, without frame, glass or mat, as “PRINTED MATTER” and indicating "NO COMMERCIAL VALUE / SIN VALOR COMERCIAL", before July 15, 2020 to:

The date of the postage stamp will be valid. This must not be later than July 15, 2020.
Out-of-date shipments will not be able to participate in the event.
Do not forget to mark your package with the note "No commercial value / Sin Valor Comercial". This is very important if you send from outside Spain. If you specify a value, even if it is very low, the package may be retained at Customs and it will be returned from there because we will not take care of the packages that are retained by Customs and returned, in any case. We will not refund the participation fee in those cases.
Faro Cabo Mayor Art Center , Port Authority of Santander and SM Pro Art Circle reserve the right to reproduce the artworks for cultural, promotional or press releases purposes.
Although all the artworks will be treated with the utmost care, the Organization is not responsible for losses, delays and retentions in Customs, total or partial damages that may be caused, during the exhibition or shipment of them.
The organization has the power to resolve in case of unforeseen events that may arise.
The participation in the Award implies the total acceptance of these bases.
