My name is Nelson Santos I'm a Portuguese fashion designer, illustrator and artist who
moved to London in 2007 after studying Fashion and Textiles Design in
I explore and accentuate the human body shape by manipulating
materials, texture and cuts to create unique pieces to suit each individual
or project I work on. My work is a fusion of art and fashion, exploring a different
side of fashion and the dichotomy between the beautiful and the ugly and
the aspirational desire for beauty.
Since 2012 I've been working as senior fashion editor at KCTV, which has
enabled me to keep up to date and share my views on the fashion world
with the general public.
I won a national award in 1st place for young fashion designers in Portugal in 2006. And also been awarded the "The Future of Fashion Illustration" an international competition by Fashion
Capital, in 2012 and chosen over 100,000 entrants.
Over the last 2 years I have not only designed and made several costumes for performers, singers & DJ's, worldwide, had exhibitions in several London and Berlin galleries, art directed and styled fashion films and most recently contributed towards a world renowned fashion book called Petrie 66.
I recently moved to Berlin and I'm looking for other artists, photographers, designers, etc... who look at fashion not as clothes but something more than that to collaborate or just meet to share experiences.
