I have not had the chance to visit Uruguay personally since my last post. However, gallerist Piero of Piero Atchugarry Gallery has definitely convinced me to bucketlist his gallery space in Garzón's beautiful countryside... I knew little about Uruguay's current contemporary art scene but was fascinated to find that his gallery is bringing international attention to artists as well as the local art market there.
