My Darling Quarantine represents a feeling: the will to be together physically to share hugs, love and tears and the impossibility of doing it. This artwork is based on the idea that while quarantined and physically distant we still have the chance to share love and affection in other ways. Through phone calls, video calls, social media we can still bond together to face fear and loss.

My Darling Quarantine - Alone Together

I was working on this helicoidal “kiss” sculpture and all of a sudden the Coronavirus COVID-19 exploded here in the northern part of Italy. Due to this emergency people are obviously discouraged from kissing each other and asked to avoid contacts... this made me think.. will this virus change how we will show affection in the future? So I imagined these “Kiss 2020” sculptures as a way to share affection without actually sharing it physically. Kisses to send to your dearest ones in a safe way while we are in quarantine.

The project developed into a series of 50 signed and numbered 3d printed pieces, produced in quarantine period and sold to raise funds to sustain Croce Rossa Lodi (Lodi is the city where was located our first italian COVID-19 outbreak). As a result 1470 € were raised to help Croce Rossa  Lodi buying protective materials and tools like FFP2 and FFP3 masks.





KISS 2020 - to fight the virus

“Myselfie - Homo Monitor" is the next evolutive step outgrowing Homo Sapiens.
This project reflects on the impact smartphones had on our daily life. Smartphones enhance our abilities and become extensions of our bodies, changing our communication potential.
We communicate through monitors, we receive inputs and generate outputs. We convey text messages, vocal and video messages and lastly icon-shaped emotions. Emoji or emoticons are more and more evolved, customizable and more similar to ourselves. 
As evolution gets rid of what unecessary, in the new Homo Monitor Species facial features are replaced by a monitor conveying every kind of emotion or content. 
Homo Monitor has a monitor shaped head, worship the Connection Goddess - mother of all inputs - and it is not uncommon finding them sharing a monitor-merging hug with their own kind. 
Do not be deceived by tenderness because this is just mere data sharing, in fact, Myselfie Homo Monitors reproduce through gemmation as too in love with theirselves. From this distinctive characteristic they are commonly named "Myselfies".

Banana Tiama is a non-fruit and with its multiple coatings stands out from the crowd of the monocolor, up-to-standard, GDO bananas coming from big multinational companies.

Banana Tiama celebrates artistic and cromatic biodiversity, and it's a trip around modern and contemporary art: dripped, optical, abstract, graffiti, pop and tribal.
