WALK WITH THE ARTIST BELGRADE 2015

Walk with the Artist is a program of authors’ itineraries that combines the idea of tour, walk, open-air workshop and urban intervention, investigating the artistic practice in the public space. Artists are asked to present an independent proposal of Walk in the city in order to walk the participants into the discovery and the experience of the urban space. The Walk becomes an open-air workshop and actively involves the public into new forms of creative and civil participation questioning about what public space means and which are the modalities of sharing it. Since 2012 the past three editions of the project involved the cities of Berlin and Bergamo and 11 international artists. 

The Walks, an itinerant art project, will touch in 2015 Belgrade, presenting 4 serbian artists - Sandra Božić, Iva Kontić, Slobodan Stošić, Dragan Strunjaš -  in collaboration with Beo_Project, Urban Incubator and Goethe Institute.

"Walk with the artist" is a program of authors’ itineraries that combines the idea of tour, walk, open air workshop, and urban intervention. The first (past) two editions of the project involved the city of Berlin and 9 international artists: Rebecca Agnes, Paolo Barlascini, Silke Bauer, Irma Markulin, Maria Mitsopoulou, Irina Novarese, Stefanie Schairer, Chryssa Tsampazi, Viola Thiele curated by Art & Tours. The Cultural Association 22:37 continues the curatorship of the Walks by turning them into an itinerant art project that will touch in the coming years the cities of Bergamo and Belgrade.

"Walk with the artist 2014" is the result of the cooperation of 22:37 with THE BLANK Bergamo contemporary art. The project will take place during ARTDATE, 4 days dedicated to contemporary art promoted by The Blank and this year dedicated to the subject "Dialogo nel tempo" (Dialogue in time) proposed by GAMeC, Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art of Bergamo, for the future re-opening of the Academy Carrara of Bergamo.

“Out of Place_an ongoing archive” is an open and continuously upgradable archive, which was established with the aim of providing an overview of the widest possible range of theoretical references and ideas concerning the concept of nomadism in relation to the forms of contemporary artistic production.
Behind the project is the idea that being out of place is the condition which enables a person to continuously reposition himself in one place. This process, not only physical, it is necessary to build the constantly changing sense of our presence in the space.
The installation contains around eighty documents sent by artists, critics and curators. The first corpus of the archive has been shown in the section Independents3 of ArtVerona, Italy,  in October.
The visitors will be asked to contribute once again to the construction of the archive by participating directly in the cataloguing and indexing of the various contributions present in Out of Place. In this way, as a welcome guest, the archive will find its temporary location within CORPO 6.

Nice to Meet You is a project in the new spaces The Pati de la Llotja during the Festival EMERGENT-LLEIDA 2010, to be held on 20-21-22 October

It is a meeting point intended to establish exchanges and create networks and synergies between emerging artists/photographers and the curators, festivals, galleries or publishers. EMERGENT-LLEIDA Festival suggests that this is the place to make known your work within and beyond the festival.

In keeping with this philosophy, every year the festival will adopt thirty emerging artists through an international public call. They will have the opportunity to show their portfolio to players within the art sector, who have been specifically invited to attend the festival.

Werttransport (transport of value) arises from research on contemporary artists’ conditions- particularly on that aspect that has always characterized the artist, but is still undervalued or even ignored nowadays in globalized society on a political, economic and social level, the mobility.
The migration process in the cultural sphere, where the main actors have always been the artists, is a phenomenon that extends globally and helps to define areas of cultural hybridization that recognize special connection centers.
The mobile community of artists and those who work in this area carry on their journeys cultural values that transcend national borders, enriching the local cultural production with new and more fluid possibilities of comparison.
Like Fellini’s “Gelsomine”, we get pleasantly lost in poetics linked to adventurous travel. As replicants we have hardly explored paths that led us to the borders of the extra-world colonies. Some of us are still looking. Others have come back only to leave again.
Berlin, one of the most fervent centers of cultural hybridization in Europe, appears, in our journey, the clearest case to highlight the real difficulties of transporting these values and the practical consequences of a European policy that is still not conducive to artistic mobility, but, at least in this city,
it has been overtaken by the courage and creative autonomy.
The artists, our travelling companions, here have brought their works- portable, removable, easy to handle works.
While it is necessary to adapt ourselves to situations, on the other hand, the value of the work is also increased by the courage not to dwell under the conditions imposed, but to rather to overcome them!
What then is the power of today's artists? How can you measure the value of something that is abstract, symbolic and immaterial?
Rebecca Agnes, Kristine Alksne, Elena Bellantoni, Danilo Caposeno, Luis De Matos, Marco Giani, Irma Markulin, Stefania Migliorati, Marco Pezzotta, Ivana Spinelli landed in a place where the sterilization process of a vulgar and globalizing Europe did not yet fully root: Berlin.

The costume of listening to or reading travel experiences, pathways towards something distant and not yet reached, made that the imagery to what is distant and unknown assume a greater importance in determining our perception of geography and meaning of our presence in some places.

Depending on how a place or an event, for example, are told in pictures or words we tend to place them in a space, to construct meanings and projecting wishes.

Precisely because the constant dialogue of the association 22:37 grows at a distance, trying to maintain a critical approach on issues deemed urgent not only in cultural, but also the social context in which the association is active, for Indipendents3 22:37 proposes a reflection on nomadism and imaginary, presenting two projects that explore, challenge and expand the geography of some places.

Errant geographies reflects on a particular strategy analysis and re-appropriation of an image by four artists. The assumption of space, through practical action of wandering, meant both as a way or path, and as error, becomes not only aesthetic practice, but critical tool to deal with some issues of imaginary and its ability to convey specific meanings.

Through the exploration, wandering, crossing or drifting within these imaginary, it is possible to discover the existence of an unusual geography, it becomes possible to replace a real space the places that the images tell, speak critically about reality and then build a new history. These actions will be told by the works Around the world in eight hours by Nina Fiocco and Nicola Turrini, Something white, a walk with Tomas Espedal by Marco Godinho, Die undichte stadt (The permeable city) by Stefania Migliorati, A guide through exhibitions and cities, guide site specific by Boba Mirjana Stojadinović.
