I'm known for my figurative drawing work (mostly) exploring the male form. Consistently though, I seek to depict emotional states such as desire, loss and need in my work, rather than be just exploitative of the human form. I have been seeking a less literal means of expression for such (queer) states and this new series-in-progress seems a successful exploration of this delicate balance, through work that suggests biological organisms, and the subtlety of traditional Japanese nature painting.
