Serie: “Pensar con las manos”  Think With Your Hands
This video forms a part of the series " Think With Your Hands ".
It represents a particular dictionary of critique to the critique of the art, written in " illuminated time ", that is, audio-visual time. It does not illustrate foreign thought, but it puts in in practice thoughts which give sensitive form to my ideas. It is about constructing an opinion about art in dialog with the textuality of aesthetics.
“Medidas del Arte”  (1ª version) “Measuring Art”, (2ª version)  
“Measuring Art” addresses the inability to find a few rules or criteria to judge the works in contemporary art since "Art" referred indistinctly[to any common object, common action, common gesture. We can perceive "art" only assuming the theoretical frame of reception.
The postmodern era imposed a relativism, a pluralism of criteria, a breaking up of the canons that were applied till then to the works of art for its aesthetic judgment. This is something that allows us to raise certain questions.

"Postproduction" is a reinterpretation of the concept of Nicolas Borriaud applied to any cultural production done by any means.
Every culture is a product based on previous products. All of our identity and memory (individual or collective) is work built on everything we've consumed culturally. In each of those present re-elaborated for postproduce new meanings.

POSTPRODUCTION (Culture)

Fire: a transformer of matter and alchemy for the soul,
It is a reinterpretation of collective ritual the bonfires of San Juan. The population burn old objects to clean the past and renewed for the start of the summer solstice.

Hand lights, a flame that gives "life" to the "shadow" of a silhouette that grows, moves, dances with the fire until it is consumed, and dies.
Metaphor of the three states of life, born, grow and die. Or a ritual act giving light on our shadow. That shadow is a psychic element that represents our worst dreams, monsters or demons hiding under the cloak of fear in the darkness of the unconscious. 
Shadow illuminated by a fire "transformer", to exorcise our fears, like our worst enemies.

Sinopsis video-magic theoretical
Landscape_1, Landscape_2.0. Humanity sees herself through his eyes how represents. Like a game of mirrors, we can only see what we have seen, acknowledge what we already know. Landscape_1 raises the origin and evolution of the eye as cultural construction of landscape concept. Landscape_2.0, a new concept of "landscape" for the information age.
