Transboundary is a series of installation projects created in 2017 in Berlin by the artist Betty Zanelli. Now, in its fourth chapter, it offers images, suggestions and sounds that refer to the theme of the border, exclusion, limit and wall: a concept, the latter, that human beings know very well. With impenetrable barriers, visible or not, we play cruelly to exclude "the other": "the foreigner".
The birds, on the other hand, with their flight, are the creatures that most naturally defy all limits, unaware of the geo-political definitions created by human beings.
Although we can trace their migrations on our maps, a very human way to encapsulating space, birds fly freely, unaware of the boundaries that we, the humans, so skillfully draw on our geographical maps.
