Using what is exterior to allegorically mirror the interior, the works in this series take fragments from the macrocosm of the Universe to magnify the microcosm of ‘the self’.

The collages manifest as a form of cosmographic self portraiture: expanding outwards in a process of excavation that explores and maps interior labyrinths. The collages re-order found imagery from the past in an attempt to unravel the present and capture fleeting sensations or inexplicable instances within the subconscious mind.

Microcosm 10839 and Microcosm 10849 are currently on display at Aether Bar/Space, Berlin, Germany.
