All form and abstraction in this body of work is the result of physical gestures, movements, and performances (no Photoshop). Using a flatbed scanner, I choreograph each plant by hand and distort it through time. The plants transition from representational into abstraction all in a single pattern. To me, these works exist somewhere between nature & tech, abstract & representational, and analog & digital. It's a meditation on human control between all of these increasingly ambiguous relationships.
