Life Of L, a nomadic art gallery launched in the spring of 2016, researches the numerous ways of exposing, distributing and understanding art, insightfully documents the lives that fuel the art and subsequently utilizes art and food as catalysts for social and cultural encounters. In the light of his enthusiasm for art, gastronomy and life itself Arthur Buerms, both curator and copyright specialist, is keen to share this passion with others.
As an on/offline curatorial project platform our idea is, depending on the geographical location, to bring up-and-coming artists, involved in a wide variety of disciplines, ranging from the visual arts, music, film and performance art to fashion, architecture, technology and lifestyle products, together in an unusual place and exhibit their work from the perspective of a philosophy. This philosophical approach inspires the artists to create an artistic framework for shaping their visions of life and helping to inspire others.
Artists are able to take part in one-stop-shop events and promote their work in our online art gallery. Thanks to this approach, Life of L is able to offer an alternative to the time-honoured and commodity-driven art world in terms of method and vision. The aim is quite simply, by asking questions and not simply providing answers, encouraging people to look and feel and develop a sense of wonder about what the world has to offer.
