I was born and raised in Dominican Republic and have been working as a freelance professional in New York City for over a decade. I studied clinical psychology and sociology, which influenced me to photograph as a way to understand my family dynamics and the social environment I inhabit. My photographs focus on the issues of family, inner city life and the finding of identity. My work has been published and exhibited in the United States, Dominican Republic, Chile and Canada. I live in New York City with my son Amaru.
