Claudia Hill is a cross-disciplinary artist who makes objects that create possibilities for personal encounters. Her subject is the body in relation to textile, performance, and community-building. Her work ranges from film-making to costume design over drawing, an artists’ book, and performances e.g. at ZKM, Live Arts Week, Bologna, Centre Pompidou. or HAU, Hebbel am Ufer.
Hill is part of the artist group Supernova which formed around the interdisciplinary performance Sketches/Notebook originally conceived by Meg Stuart. As a costume designer she collaborated with choreographer William Forsythe or the New York based ensemble The Wooster Group and worked on artists’ films with Michaël Borremans and Boris Achour or Lucie Tuma’s performance sculptures.
