This is an internship/apprenticeship opportunity with an artist based in Prague.
Please refer to my website and my CV in order to find out about my career trajectory so far.
Recently, I have become able to live off my art. I am a painter working with a gallery in London. I also work on commissions for private collectors. Currently, I'm looking to scale, hence this should also be seen as an internship/apprenticeship at a start-up rather than merely working for an artist. We, as artists, must consider ourselves as entrepreneurs, if you are wishing to make living from what you love doing. By working for someone who is about to scale, you will get to see how professional artists work, as well as learn all the valuable skills necessary to be professional. Also, if you are simply looking to work in the creative industry, you are also welcomed. Despite that, please contact me only if you are serious about this opportunities.
3-4 hours a day, 2-3 days a week.
The first 8 weeks will be a non-paid preliminary period while travel expenses are covered after 4 weeks. Depending on your performance, pay rises can be expected.
An ideal candidate must be reliable and responsible, consistent and committed to the job and punctual, in particular, timekeeping is essential. Also, strong written and verbal language skills in English and German and social media skill, especially content generation are desirable, but not a must. No prior experience is required. You will be taught all the necessary skills and other technical aspects of being a professional artist. Also, open-mindedness in terms of attitude is a plus. The skill sets that you will learn in exchange for working here are:
1: The systematic way of negotiating with galleries.
2: How to deal with clients.
3: technical aspects of art making.
5: How to prepare your portfolio
If you are particularly good at using the Internet and social media, you are very welcome!
I look forward to hearing from you!
