SINO - Supergeography

Costrained by the impetuous and pervading power of an ever more attractive technology, able to abolish distances, to cancel time and to grant another chance to shape our essence as desired, we are gradually getting out of touch with our reality. The specific time in which we are living, hic et nunc, has been greatly devalued in the benefit of virtual reality, much more captivating and apparently giving at a very reasonable price the gift of everlasting life and ubiquity. Reference values could be exchanged to a point in which real world wouldn't be the same if not supported - or even replaced - by virtual evidence . This stage of separation between body and mind, in which we are always more unable to feel our reality, causes an increasing, overpowering alienation carrying us poles apart till the point in which  we are completely wiped from our here and now. 
Peace and balance will slowly be restored when, after having been dragged and tossed in the center of the hurricane, we can at last calmly and serenely glance at our surroundings. At this point we finally retake possession of our life and its intimate simplicity, disconnected and almost invisible, remote and comfortable, in a warm place at the back of beyond.

Home is our shelter when we sometimes have to escape from social life just being with ourselves, it doesn't matter for how long. In equilibrium between the will to break with the outside world and the research of a mediated point of contact with it, Home//Oblivion spots out human lack of ability to cope with others through erroneous or distorted use of media.
The individual willingly interrupts all existing relationships and takes shelter in a safe context which usually results to be his home. Soon this will slowly and unintentionally make him fall down towards oblivion and become the passive observer of the advanced view of his death

Our mind is able to isolate moments of our life which are considered worthwhile to be saved from the flowing of time. The mental repetition of such memories is therefore useful to keep them alive and to bring back the same emotions and sensations felt in a particular moment of our life. Nevertheless, as time goes by, the outlines fade away, the sounds weaken, the surroundings become faint and uncertain. Yet, this slow process of degradation can be partly replaced by music as a last opportunity to keep that particulary memory alive by now only made of vague shadows.
