We are looking for a third person for our shared design / sewing workshop. The space is furbished, with desk space, shelves, a big cutting table, an overlocker and two industrial sewing machines. One of them is a Juki machine that does both straight and zig zag stitch, good for sewing light and mid-weight materials. The other one is an Adler walking foot machine, great for leather, both thin and thick.
The space is really light and clean, there is wireless internet and heating (excluding summer months). There is a microwave oven and a kettle. There are toilets and showers in the building but note that this is not a live-in studio, only for working. 110 € / month including internet, electricity and use of the equipment.
Our studio is in HB55, a popular and lively place for artists in Lichtenberg, the next district east of Friedrichshain. It’s a beautiful, old factory building with an art gallery, a cafe / bar / canteen and various sizes of studios and an international network of dozens of artists. You can check out the place here: www.hb55.de
You would be sharing the space with two Finnish creative professionals. One fashion designer and one textile designer / illustrator. We are both friendly and laid back, and like a relaxed working atmosphere. There’s always coffee and good tunes in our studio. If you think you would like to join us, please get in touch!
