call for artists - black mountain mural

Notes The City of Henderson is calling on artists to design and create one unique mural for the Black Mountain Recreation Center’s gym entrance.

The area is approximately 38’ wide and 12’ 8” tall (total +/- 325 square feet) it is roughly 14’-15’ off the ground to the bottom of the area.

The mural must encapsulate the Black Mountain ranges, a series of rugged, arid, volcanic mountains. It must embody the terrain, range, and wilderness, showcasing the landscape and the characteristics that make up what the Black Mountains are. These mountains, which are part of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, provide a stunning and calming contrast to Las Vegas’s flashing lights and opulent hotels. The Black Mountains provide a haven for city dwellers to explore and gain unique and life-changing experiences.
