The residency program "Goethe on Mallorca", jointly organized by the Goethe-Institut Barcelona and Casa Planas Mallorca, enters its fourth edition. The aim is to develop and produce innovative projects that illuminate and reflect the cultural relations between the Planas archive and German culture. The Center for Artistic Research and Contemporary Culture, Casa Planas, promotes a residency program aimed at artists and researchers in the field of contemporary art living in Germany.
There is an urgent need to draw a new cultural cartography that includes the cultural consequences of contemporary global mobility.
As of now, artists, thinkers, researchers, cultural producers or curators in the field of contemporary art can apply for the residency program to develop and produce innovative projects.
The application process has been changed to a two-phase process. Four proposals will then be selected from all applications for the second phase.
Projects with social impact are sought that address the themes of archive, identity, landscape, tourism and memory. The program allows creative contexts, research processes, production accompaniment, round tables, co-creation labs, meetings between artists*, curators*, collectives and professionals of the sector.
