self-directed residencies

CREEKSIDE ARTS self directed residencies (artist retreats) offer artists an opportunity to reflect, create and explore in an inspiring setting among the Redwoods of Northern California. Preference will be given to applications that demonstrate a project focus on what is dear to our community: Land, place, community, nature, climate, education, and social and political consciousness.

Creekside Arts is a collective of friends, neighbors and artists who collaborate to support the arts and community in Humboldt county. Residents will be invited to make themselves at home on the Creekside Arts grounds, join our weekly community gatherings, and focus on their art in a beautiful, natural setting. We welcome artists from a broad range of creative disciplines.

Duration of residency Self-Directed Residencies are a minimum of one week. Longer stays encouraged.Creekside Arts is open to Self-Directed Residences 8/1/2022 – 4/1/2023.We currently offer a 3-week Residency Program in the spring and fall. Please inquire directly if you are interested in a residency opportunity with a more guided and collaborative focus.
