ArtConnect X Modulor Open Call | Material Hybrids
This open call is created especially with the new school year in mind and is open to students registered at art schools in Europe. Projects may be either digital or analog as long as they incorporate and highlight at least two materials in combination or juxtaposition.
The first prize winner will receive:
1 x 150 euro voucher redeemable at Modulor’s online store
Two runners-up will receive:
1 x 50 euro voucher redeemable at Modulor’s online store
All three projects will be:
- Featured in ArtConnect Magazine
- Featured in Modulor’s Online Magazine
- Have their work shared on both Modulor and ArtConnect’s social media to an audience of art lovers, professionals, and collectors

The Michael O’Pray Prize is an award for new writing on innovation and experimentation in the moving image. The prize is open to all early-career writers based in the UK. Three awarded texts will be published by Art Monthly and FVU, with a £500 prize for the winner, and two £250 awards for two runners up.

apexart is accepting exhibition proposals for its NYC Open Call from October 1-31, 2020. The four winning proposals will become apexart exhibitions presented at apexart’s NYC space as part of its 2021-22 exhibition season. Curators, artists, writers, and creative individuals, regardless of experience level or location, are invited to submit a proposal online.
Four winning proposals will each receive an exhibition budget of up to $10,000, staff support, and be part of the next apexart exhibition season.

Virtual Residency – Weekends in November
The virtual residency is a gathering of artists who work in sync, support one another and use a change in pace to think differently about their creative practice. This session of the residency takes place over three weekends – Saturday and Sunday 7, 8 –– 14, 15 –– 21, 22 November 2020. The program welcomes, but is not limited to: visual artists, conceptual artists, video artists, writers, poets, multidisciplinary artists, performance artists, installation artists, photographers
The content of discussions during the residency will be determined by the work undertaken by participants. Some participants might plan to produce deeply conceptual work. For others the process will be more practical. Others will work on a mixture of both.

Open Call for Artists, Curators, and Art Managers Based in Kaliningrad and Berlin
In December 2020, the international contemporary art festival RAUM SPACE will take place in Kaliningrad. As part of the project, artists, curators and art managers living in Kaliningrad and Berlin will meet with specialists from the cultural industry of Russia and Europe, take part in TOOLS WITHOUT RULES thematic workshops, and develop and implement joint art projects. The festival will become a platform for the exchange of ideas, observations and experiences of artists and professionals from the two cities.
