Dear Miss Read community,
We hope you are fine. As you probably know the Corona epidemic has reached Europe and the Rest of the world a few weeks ago.
The German government forbade public gatherings that bring together more than 50 people. It’s likely that the situation will get worse in the near future and the government won’t allow any public gathering before the epidemic progression is reversed.
We regret to inform you that Miss Read cannot take place at HKW on June 5-7, 2020 as planned, since we can’t guarantee the safety of the event and everyone involved.
We are currently investigating possibilities in which framework Miss Read is going to happen this year, and how we can take the program online. This includes this years focus on publishing practices from the African continent and African diaspora as well as the Conceptual Poetics Day.
We are planning to produce a publication and distribute it to all (would-be-) participants and to make it available to anyone interested.
Stay tuned for further news, and above all, keep caring and stay healthy,
The Miss Read Team

In conjunction, the annual Conceptual Poetics Day explores the imaginary border between visual art and literature.
Founded in 2009, MISS READ is Europe’s Art Book Festival, dedicated to community-building and creating a public meeting place for discourse around artists’ books, conceptual publications and publishing as practice. In 2019 MISS READ is gathering 304 exhibitors.
