How does the movement of bodies take place in urban space? The experience of space is a fleeting and momentary process of happening and acting. Between self-determination and external determinism, the aesthetic dimension of social arrangements becomes visible. Which norms and rules in everyday practice influence the patterns of movement of people in urban areas? Both one's own identity and that of the respective space is expressed through movement and direction. The function of spaces dictates how the person moving behaves or reacts. The question of human movement patterns in urban space also raises questions about freedom and control in public space: Does movement mean freedom? Is there an (in) arbitrary choreography, a limitation of the urban space of movement through repression, structural obstacles, political, social and economic processes? What shows free access as well as the inclusion and exclusion of certain representation systems?
The aesthetic expression of movement and its directing as a social process and the perception of space and content reflects ambivalent realities of life: in the exhibition, these manifest themselves in multifaceted artistic forms.
