Here comes our next adventure. A workshop with “Bauhaus” as topic, celebrating its centennial and our 10th anniversary !
That course will take place in Berlin. Alexander Branczyk, former professor at Bauhaus-University Weimar, and
Lisi Badia, cofounder of ShowUsYourtype will be the teachers in charge.
This course gives the participants a way to develop their creative, experimentation, and analytical skills in a natural
and fun way. We will focus on three aspects: theory, practice, an a very litte coding. We will explore the Bauhaus Spirit and
it’s influence nowadays, some type design basics, layouting, image-making and Arduino technology to “enlighten your designs“.
You will have to develop 4 main asignments:
1. An ArtWork representing your own ideas about Bauhaus used for a Poster and a piece of clothing, what you will be
transformed into a “Bitmob“ LED Jacket.
2. Your digital typeface based on a 50 dots matrix programmed on an Arduino Micro Board and displayed on a
full colour LED-grid on your jacket.
3. Big size poster for documentation.
4. Ending with an electronic wearable – q.e.d. a Denim Jacket!
& We’ll finish with a night bike ride displaying our electronic wearables in the streets.
