The Plant is in Berlin and there you can find a very large collection of Photographic equipment that I would like to rent/share
based on different types of collaborations, from an art collective to an art residency.
The oldest Item I have is a lens from late 19th century and the most modern is a Nikon DSLR, in between I have exotic equipment :
A brand new old stock Jobo ATL 2000 film processor, an HOWTEK 4500 drum scanner, A Polaroid film printer, a fully equipped
35 m2 professional Photolab is in construction (with a large format VC Ilford/Beseler 45 enlarger) and a Photo-studio with a 8.5x8.5
meter oak floored space with 5.5 meter high ceiling and a mezzanine with a complete retouching desk (27 inch proofed eizo, intuos
The light equipment was originally Elinchrom and I am now getting equipped with Broncolor Generators and a some very technical
flash heads (Fresnels flood, spot lights, Hazylight and all the classic soft-boxes)
I mostly targeted the research space to film photography and large format but It also offers the latest digital flow.
Due to the complexity of the project I am looking for all types of collaborations to build a collective , we need designers, media people, business managers and artists within The Plant.
How I see things : I can produce workshops and offer free use of the studio and equipment in exchange of work time for the studio.
We need a web site, a communication strategy, plan a group exhibition and there are lots of things to build.
Meanwhile the studio is operational and can also be rented for fashion shoots, portraits, catalog, pack shot and naturally art.
It's also a perfect space for hosting art events, meetings, workshops ect.
Finally The Plant is also a high class loft, placed in the ancient site of the German post office the 165 m2 apartment has three bed
rooms, two bathrooms and a large balcony and that it is a perfect art residency for a photographer/artist who is willing
to stay in Berlin in order to fulfill his/her post graduate project.
Looking forward to meet you.
