Immersive theater company looking to expand its press and production team!

The Shells – Ausflug nach Neu-Friedenwald is a Twin Peaks-inspired, multi-media, immersive/ participatory theater production that will take place over a period of eight days in a venue in Berlin-Tempelhof in June 2015. We are looking for PR assistants, as well as folks with production experience to join our team. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee a fixed salary – details on reimbursement can be discussed via email.

Following a crime plot on the surface, the performance will chronicle the decay of a seemingly idyllic small town Neu-Friedenwald. Triggered by the murder of the community's golden girl Cecilia, perfect facades begin to crumble. As order is usurped more and more by chaos, the town's inhabitants' repressed fantasies, fears, desires, dreams and nightmares come to the fore and take possession of suburbia. Guests enter the town as tourists and are invited to explore the narrative spaces and interact with performers. 

THE SHELLS – Ausflug nach Neu-Friedenwald is a collaborative creative fringe theater effort organized by a group of multi-disciplinary artists interested in realizing their shared creative vision rather than financial gain or commercial success. Due to an absolute belief in the great potential and invaluable multiplicity of perspectives, experiences and knowledge that come with collaboration on respectful terms, we are tapping into a wide range of networks who are interested and willing to help make it all happen. “We” are an already existing group of mostly Berlin-based artistic collaborators, looking to meet and work with creatively-enthused and organizationally-gifted new collaborators!
