Via candid conversations with those who employ it in their practice, Lines & Marks explores the act of mark-making as not only a quintessentially human compulsion, but as the foundation of visual thinking, language, mathematics and science. Practically everything conceived by humankind shares a humble beginning as a drawing, from hieroglyphics to art to nano-bots. Lines & Marks celebrates mark-making as a driving force in human achievement and seeks to beautifully present it in all its innumerous forms, whether they be banal, utilitarian, or glorious.
