'All Towers Fall' focuses on an the idea in Japanese aesthetics of the 'cut' (kire). It appears as a fundamental feature in the distinctively Japanese art of flower arrangement called ikebana, which literally means 'making flowers live' — a strange name, on first impression at least, for an art that begins by initiating their death. The idea is that organic life is cut off precisely in order to let the true fleeting nature of the flower come to the fore.
