MANDARIN SPEAKING, BERLIN BASED INTERN
Flaneur is a nomadic, independent magazine focussing on one street per issue. The magazine embraces the street’s complexity, its layers and fragmented nature with a literary approach. The content of the magazine is produced with and for Flaneur by artists of all disciplines while the team spends two months on location. It is made using a collaborative, impulsive and unconventional approach. The magazine attempts to use a single microcosm to tell universal stories.
As the 8th issue of Flaneur depicts a street in Taipei most contributions will be submitted in Mandarin and for this, the editors of Flaneur seek a mother tongue Mandarin speaker who has some experience working with words, is interested in literature/art/print and has a good command of the English language.
You will help us go through the contributions (you will not translate), communicate with contributors and write small texts in Chinese.
This internship will give you insight into an independent and multi-disciplinary project with a unique editorial approach. You will be part of editorial meetings and conceptual discussions, you will get to see how a printed magazine gets put together and will learn about Taipei and its art scene.
Interviews for this position will take place between March 18th-22nd.
The internship begins the week after.
The internship is for three months, twice a week.
You will work with us in our Neukoelln office.
Travel expenses will be covered.
