Hello Music, let's make art with you: a workshop to learn how to process sound as an input for your interactive art pieces and ideas.
Ever dreamed of sound-reactive installations? Ever had an idea on a new musical instrument? Ever imagined a new way of interacting with sound?
Pure Data is by definition an ideal creative tool! Instead of describing your ideas in meticulously spelled-out lines of code, you simply draw connections between modules in a visual fashion! No need to understand the inner workings of compilers, function calls, and other programming quirks!
This workshop is not just about learning Pure Data, this workshop is about how to express your ideas in a digital manner, and ultimately take some of those ideas home or to the studio, in the form of interactive applications!
What we provide: a friendly learning environment, coffee and mate, an selected overview of pure data's easiest tools for prototyping ideas, all workshop materials will be available to take home!
What you bring: a laptop, your creativity!
"I'm so excited, can I start right now?": Yeah of course: install pure data before coming, it is an open source and free program, available in any platform (simple install here: http://puredata.info/downloads/pd-extended)
Date: Wednesday, 25th September, 5pm - 10pm.
Registration: Please contact us at email@example.com (subject "pure data") to register for attendance.
