SOLO EXHIBITION - SCULPTURE
Figurative contemporary sculpture exhibition by the Colombian artist Guinchi from Untergeschoss der Pandora Kunstgalerie-Berlin.
Based on the food problematic caused by Monsanto's trans-genetic industry, the artist´s approach is to use art as a massive weapon of awareness. His sculptures reflect the surrealism caused to our food through the degeneration and transformation made by Monsanto Industry and as stated in the apocalypse book, the corporation will of gaining full control of society, in a near future where primary resources are being controlled by the "industry", leaving no space for auto-sustainability.
After moving to Berlin, the amounts of "treasure/trash" laying in the streets and the DIY atmosphere of the city captured his attention. The artist started then collecting found objects and transforming them into new worlds where Guinchi could express his deepest thoughts, feelings, secrets, and fears. The imagination of the artist arises above the need of buying materials at Modulor to create art.
As a need to bring his art to the next level, Guinchi makes a fusion between classical fine art techniques with technology and new media to create a direct interaction with the viewer. Mapping sculptures is a must go in any of Guinchi´s shows, so as always, expect no less!
In a way to combine the sculpture with other art forms, Guinchi collaborates with the clothing brand NO CURE. In this installation, the artist brings the skeletons out of the closet.
Another collaboration made with the producer and filmmaker Karl Roos Martenz will present a short film written by Guinchi
This show will keep your attention, will open your mind on new ideas, will make you enjoy art in a different way, come join the classic toast, a few words and... a very new edge surprise.
