We warmly invite you to the exhibition opening of DANIELA SPOTO!
You will get to see illustrations she made in 2016 for the poetry book "LEUCHTKRAFT" by Marie Franz (Goldblatt Verlag).
The opening starts at 6.00pm, make sure you get there in time so you dont miss a poetry reading by the actor Mathias Renneisen together with vibraphone and percussion music by Anna Morley and Petros Tzekos.
The illustrations will be exhibited for a few weeks in Pappelreihe, so even if you cant make it to the opening, feel free to check out the fabulous art-work of Daniela later!

About the artist/ illustrator:
Daniela Spoto was born in 1986 in Nuoro, Italy. She studied at the accedemy of Fine Arts in Sassari and later moved to Berlin (2010). Daniela has participated in numurous exhibitions and projects with filmmakers, musicians and writers. In 2015 she illustrated the poetry book “Bajo la lengua, bichosî “ from Uxue Juárez Gaztelu (Stendhal Books). In 2016 she wrote and illustrated the book "2 Koffer, 5 Jahre" working together with Circolo Sardo di Berlino. At the moment Daniela lives in Düsseldorf.
About the musicians:
Anna Morley is an Australian multi-instrumentalist and composer based in Berlin. Her music has been described as "an eclectic fusion of electro-acoustic vibes with ambient overtones, woven together by fresh minimal grooves". On stage Anna blends a unique gamut of instrumentation including the vibraphone, vocals, keys and electronic beats and samples within her compositions.
After completing her musical studies in Australia, Anna made the move to Europe, where she spent seven years in Barcelona, Spain. Inspired by the city of warmth and chill, Anna wrote and released both her debut EP "Character" (2009, Gazebo Music) and album "Red Balance" (2011). Since relocating to Berlin, Anna has recorded and released "Water Door" (2013) and most recently "Treasure Pleasure" (2016, Cult Classic Records).
Petros Tzekos is a creator of smile waterfalls and many tears of mirth, this afro toting mythical Greek legend is notorious for stomping on chickens in his spare time.
